A,B,A–Am I confusing my Alphabet?

What is ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) Therapy?

The most widely accepted treatment for Autism, ABA therapy has taken on a life of its own with ravings and ratings surpassing any conventional treatment used in the past.

In short, ABA therapy is individualized according to the child being worked with, whereas Special Education therapy and its counterparts generally follow a very streamlined and rigid framework.

Children, especially those with ASD or other developmental issues, cannot possibly fit cookie-cutter treatment plans; their needs and behaviors vary just like their physical appearances.

Within the ABA treatment, your child will encounter trained BCBAs who will customize their game plan with your child’s strengths, skillset, and possible goals.

Every subsequent success reached will be duly noted in your child’s progress report, as their assigned therapist will be on top of each detail, treating your child like they are the only one on their caseload; because, in a sense, they really are.

It’s your child, your child’s strengths and weaknesses, and your child’s potential that are the key factors in the treatment plan.

Growth, Success–here we come!
